Morristown Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two family-friendly events in celebration of Easter. The Easter Egg Scramble will kick off the season with a self-paced “scavenger hunt” challenge. The challenge begins Wednesday March 22nd, continues through the week, and concludes with a prize drawing during the annual Easter Eggsellent Adventure. Those who would like to participate can pick up clue cards at the Parks and Recreation Office or click on the link below. Participants will follow the clues to various parks to find the answers. Once the cards are completed, they can be returned to the Morristown Parks and Recreation office before Tuesday, April 4th or at Fred Miller Park Event Registration during the Easter Eggsellent Adventure by 6 pm.   All correctly completed clue cards will be added to a drawing for prizes. This is a fun adventure that will challenge skills while enjoying the parks.

The Eggsellent Adventure will be held at Fred Miller Park on April 4th from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm and include an Easter Village, egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.  Area businesses and organizations will be setting up booths in the Easter Village to offer goodies for the children who attend. There will be three egg hunts for children ages 5-10.  Each age group will have a designated egg hunt time. Children ages 5-6 begin at 6:00 pm, ages 7-8 at 6:30 pm and ages 9-10 at 7:00 pm. Children ages 2-4 will not have an egg hunt but will receive their eggs through the Easter Village. All children are encouraged to bring a basket to collect their eggs and goodies. Upon arrival, participants should register for the egg hunt. They will receive a card that is color coordinated for their age and egg hunt time. The Easter Bunny will be set up to greet children and offer parents a pose with children for photos. There will be no early registration. MPRD staff and volunteers will register children at the park beginning at 5 pm. Please call Morristown Parks & Recreation at 423-586-0260 for more information.
