Morristown Police Department K-9 Teams Receive Awards
Two MPD K-9 Teams received top awards at the annual K-9 recertification training hosted by the Sevierville Police Department.Officer Paul Pressley and K-9 Juno competed against six other explosive ordnance teams. The teams were scored on several scenarios throughout the week with the MPD team receiving the highest score and taking top honors.
Officer Blake McCarter and K-9 Riot received an award for building searches. Officer McCarter and his partner competed against 35 other teams for the award.
All six of the MPD K-9 teams performed well and received recertification for their specialized areas.
