MPD ALERT - Catalytic Converter Thefts
The Morristown Police Department has seen a recent rash of thefts of catalytic converters from church buses and vans. Individuals are gaining access to the vehicles that are parked in unsecured or unmonitored lots and using a saw to cut off the catalytic converters, which they then sell for profit.
Recommendations for Preventing Catalytic Converter Thefts:
1. Park your church van or bus in a well-lit, highly visible area,
2. If possible, park your church van or bus near an attended building or residence or in a secure garage.
